Ok I was 3 weeks post op yesterday and have been on a stall for the past week. What gives? I know that i am doing everyting right so I am not really concerned that the weight will not come off just frustrated. Just venting. How long do the stalls typically last? I am going to to my daughte'sr College graduation next week in Florida and hope to be off the stall before then. I have lost 20 lbs since surgey no pre-op diet was required. I think I am losing inches even though not weight. Just wondering how many more days of frustration. Thanks to everyone on here for the support you all give

They do suck. A LOT. Mine lasted 6 weeks. That doesn't mean yours will. I got frustrated the first 2 weeks, so I got sloppy. I think that's why mine endured. I think most people stall for maybe a week or two. Just don't let yourself slide. Stay tough and follow the rules.

Ah the dreaded 3 week stall. Dont worry - almost everyone here has gone through this. Keep doing everything you are supposed to. The stall will break pretty soon and your scale will move :)

I think everyone does. I'm a little over 3 months and just coming out of a stall. They happen. Do a search on it. Your body is recalibrating and most times you are losing inches. It's weird how that works, but it does.

This is totally normal--I am in one too. I have lost 2 lbs since I bought new pants....but now they don't fit anymore, they're too big. Seriously, your body just got the heck beaten out of it unexpectedly, so it needs to recalibrate and figure stuff out, and it will periodically need to do that as you continue. Don't worry, you're doing great!

I had my surgery Mar 19, my stall started around April 9 and lasted until April 21, since then I have lost 5lbs in 5days. Trust me the stall will end but I do know how frustrating it can be. hang in there.

You know what's funny? I think my surgeon put a curse on me. One of the last things he said at my 3 month checkup was: "Remember, you WILL stall."

Then I stalled. @#%*&!!!!!!!

I was freaking out too! I'm 11 weeks out. Once my stall broke I lost about 16 more pretty quickly. I made sure to log my food again and not go over 800 calories, get as much liquids in as possible and at the gym, I cut out weights and increased the cardio, and that seemed to bust it open. I really shaved off unnecessary carbs. Something in there helped.

I been stalled since February but I know I am causing it. I lost my job in January and have been a little bit depressed. Not excercising and eating enough is enough to cause the stall. I know it and know how to fix it but just don't feel like it most days right now. Hope to get a job soon, that would help a lot.

The best was to end the stall is to eat more Protein and excercise.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
