My best friend saw me after a couple of weeks and said...You have a bobble head. People have always told me I have a big head, but I can't tell because I look at it everyday. But my best friend...and now I am getting all of the...You are getting too skinny. My mom is the only one who is like...keep going...lose as much as you can. I feel like I could lose more and look ok. I am not even a size 8 yet :) I couldn't even stop losing weight if I wanted to. It is going where it is going. I really need some good come backs...I mean really good ones...that shoot an arrow straight back into their heart, but I am not that Witty. Suggestions.

I am, as of the morning, down 109 pounds. At 5'11" I am 182 :) On my doctor's scale I would probably be 178. I am still overweight :)

Let the comebacks begin!

"At least I'm not a knucklehead"?

Too light for me. I was thinking more like at least I am not a ***** But obviously I need to be smarter than just criticizing them.

I'm a bobble head because now that my body is losing all this weight, my head can't support my super intelligent, large brain

"Ouch!" This always works for me. How rude are they. Keep going as much as you can and take all your supplements for good health. I believe our bodies will stop when it's time. And besides, have you reached your surgeon's goal? WHAT about your goal? Your doing fine. ;)

I think people call you too skinny because they are too lazy to adjust. They are used to relating to the larger you and it requires too much depth of character for them to realize that you are the same person.

Too skinny in what way?

Healthwise? Have them site their medical reasons and test results.

Aesthetics? Every see a super-model?

Survival? Expecting an extended famine and the extra fat will be needed?

Sheesh!

If I wasn't married to a people I wouldn't have anything to do with them.:D

"You have a bobble head."

My comeback: "A pinhead would think that!"

Wow. If my best friend told me I had a bobble-head, I'd probably just cry... and then I'd let her know that I appreciate her support so much, but I still have a ways to go. Maybe something like, "Yeah, I know I look a lot different from before, but I'm still not where my doctor and I think I need to be, so when you say stuff like that, it hurts my feelings"? I don't know. I can't really be coherent when my feelings are hurt--I could later, though! I always come up with great stuff later!!!

When someone was sort of rude to me (she said she had lost a lot of weight, too, but she did it "the hard way"), all I could say was, "Congratulations on your loss"--because I don't think she intended to be rude. If your friend was teasing you, okay, but you could certainly let her know that it sort of hurt your feelings! You rely on her support and honesty, but you also need to be reassured (like everyone else! including her) that you're okay, and it hurts when she says stuff like that.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
