Connecticut Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I was just sleeved on January 8th. I was a band to sleeve. I would love to talk to others about issues or concerns or even just to walk. I live in Milford CT.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using VST

Not a sleever, well, pre-op, but looking into bypass. Anyone had their procedure done at Griffin??? And out of curiosity, why did you choose sleeve or bypass?

Personally I chose the sleeve due to the risks and malnutrition that is common with bypass. The sleeve only affects the stomach instead of the bypass which affects the small intense. I did not want band due to having for a foreign object in my body.

I figured I can have a similar loss with sleeve as I would with bypass. I know I will need to "work" harder with the sleeve and I am okay with that.

I was looking at Griffin, but I really liked the Doctor at Yale. They have years of experience performing these surgeries and often travel around the country to train other doctors to perform these types of surgeries.

I agree with Michael about my choice as well. Although I did have a band, it was not working for me.

I had my surgery on Dec 3rd and was discharged on the 5th. No complications. Pain was managed very well in the hospital as well as meds at home. It was a great experience!

Dr. Craig Floch is my doctor.....Can't say enough good things about him and his practice....their follow up care is the best. Wishing you both the same, wonderful experience I had from preop to postop.....good luck.

In Bridgeport ct, not sleeved yet. Insurance changed so have 5 more nutrition visit. My doctor is Craig Floch

.....however, Dr. Fridman was the doctor who saw me in recovery right after surgery and liked him too

are there any Dr. Fridman patients in here?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
