You are doing great! I remember hitting that dreadful 1st stall. I couldn't believe I could eat so little and stall for two weeks. Then one morning I got on the scale and I had lost 4 pounds over night! Your weight-loss journey is a process that is difficult to understand, but keep up the good work. It will be off before you know it. Best wishes on your journey.

I think everyone hits plateaus from what I have read, and I'm sure that is all that has happened. I bet you start losing again in no time. Just keep following your plan. You have already lost a lot!

2 questions: Are you logging your food on something like My Fitness Pal? And, are you exercising? Some people don't need to log, but if you're not losing, it's time to put your intake under the microscope. Try to at least walk every day if you're not doing any exercise. You might be already, but these are basic issues to start with...

Angela, I feel your pain. I was sleeved at the end of March and have only lost a couple of pounds in the last couple of weeks. But I read and read and read the threads on this forum and it gives me hope. It appears that most everyone goes through these stalls and then they come out of them. I walk and I bike and I log my food intake on My Fitness Pal. I think, at this stage (at least for me), I'm just not getting enough food in me. (around 550-750 calories/day). So, I'm probably stuck in starvation mode!

I feel confident we will both get out of this stall and start losing soon! Good luck!

Nearly everyone stalls in this time frame. It's normal! Your body just lost a lot of weight really fast so your body is holding on to what it can for a while.... Happened a lot to me. Keep doing what you're supposed to do and the scale WILL move again. Im living proof :-)

Stalls happen to everyone, plus the further out we get and the closer to goal, the slower it goes. I'm just loosing a little bit at a time now and I refuse to give up. So it's coming off in ounces. I'll take it. I need to measure myself now. Today I just found out that I am wearing a size 6 slacks now. I am so happy with that. ;)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
