hi sallynew

welcome again from Egypt. We love to see you. Its amazing how many people from all over the world have the sleeve, and find this board too.

Do you graze during the day? eat, and then eat shortly after your stomach is empty again? Then eat some more? Eat some more..... you get it.

My dr. says if you eat during the day on and off like above, when your stomach is empty, you could "eventually" stretch your sleeve.

if you ate too much for a couple of days, well thats not the greatest - but you didn't stretch your sleeve. Nothing happened . Just get back on the wagon, and try and stay there. But we all have times of weakness.

You'll do fine

best wishes

kathy

I also eat throughout the day. I asked my dad, who is a doctor about this and he said that it is best to eat about 6 small meals a day as opposed to 3 large meals. It keeps your metabolism boosted and is healthier for you. As long as you are eating Proteins, low fat, low carbs and stay away from the sugars you should be good to go.

I'm having problems with grazing too. I'm 5 weeks out. I'm thinking about going to therapy for emotional and boredom eating.

As WL surgeons will tell you - they do gastric surgery, not brain surgery. Many of us battle head hunger even after VSG surgery.

I am 1 1/2 years out from surgery and have slid into eating in between meals not because I am hungry, but because I am able to do so and food still tastes good. Today I had chips with ranchy dip for a snack, and a few handfuls of candy hanging around from Easter. No dinner yet. Really I know better.

Take your time to learn good habits and be vigilant. No regrets - I love my sleeve!

Signed - need to take my own advice.

I have been at my goal weight for 6 or 7 months. I love my sleeve but it didn't fix my emotional eating. That will always be a problem for me so I am just careful about what I eat (most of the time) and if I eat too much "junk" I make myself go back on liquids for a day or two. That usually gets my head straight because I don't allow myself the bite here and bite there...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
