Has anyone had to take Mag Citrate to empty their bowels before surgery and how was the experience?

I had to drink 2 bottles the day before surgery. It worked pretty quick so I wasn't up all night or anything. The worst part for me was drinking it. Just make sure you drink plenty of Water cause it will dehydrate you. I was a little dehydrated the morning of surgery but it was no problem since they pump you up with fluids.

I had to drink one bottle the day before. LaceyD is right about it working quickly! I was running to the restroom all day. In the end it was like I was peeing out my butt...sorry if tmi :/ in the end it's all worth it!

Put it on ice. The lime one is like salty 7Up. Cherry isnt as good. Drink fast and sip something after.

LOL, I just had to do this for a colonoscopy and that's exactly how I described it!

Mi, I would recommend getting some feminine wipes or those cleansing cloths. Things get a bit rough after you've made six or seven trips to the bathroom! Good luck.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
