Hi everyone! I'm six days post op, was sleeved 3/12, and though I feel good I sometimes feel like I'm behind everyone else in recovery. I have a hard time getting in the required amount of fluids, so far I can get half to three quarters in, and after the protien shake of doom, I feel like I have no room for the 4 tablespoons of food three times a day. I'm starting to get depressed cause it seems like all I do all day is put something in my belly, I never thought I'd say this but eating is exhausting! Anyways I would appreciate any advice anyone has! Thanks in advance!

Hey Wonderwoman! Had my sleeve the same day. Protein Shakes are bad enough. I will tell you one thing....I never want to eat Soup yogurt or pudding ever again in my life. I am having a hard time trying to get all the Vitamin schedules down. I was so used to gulping drinks too the whole sipping thing is difficult too. Hang in there! New life...new thinking.....new attitude! From fat to flat!!!!

hey wonderwoman! My sleeve was 3/13. What foods are you allowed to eat right now? I'm allowed yogurt, thinned cream of wheat, or strained cream Soup right now. I haven't had room to actually eat any of it though! I'm curious to know your food progression. Most people seem to be on liquids only for a few weeks! I was starting to think only my doc would let me eat sooner!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
