I have just inquired about a doctors note which will probably be requested by my employer upon my return. I was a little alarmed to learn that the doctors note will come from the coordinator and not the actual doctor or doctor's office. Does this mean its not official?? I wouldnt want to give it to my employer if it wasnt.

To prior Mexico sleevers did anyone have a problem with their Dr. note?

I didn't go to mexico for my surgery, but my note was done on official letterhead from the bariatric clinic rubber stamped with the doctors name. It's both official and legal. . hope this helps a bit.

Who are you going to? I recieved one from dr. Kelly, but didnt use it to show my employer. I went to my regular family doctor after returning home, showed him the xrays, etc and he signed me off work for over a month. My doctor never stated what surgery I had, just that i was not medically cleared to be working.

Just keep all the documents, etc you get from your surgeon and have your regular doctor look them over and he/she can probably provide you with a medical note.

I have told my employer I am going to Mexico, so I let them know the note was going to be scanned and emailed. The coordinator's have a copy of the Dr.'s letterhead and fill in the blanks like your name and how much time off. My employer was fine with this.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
