I've Been Sleeved!

Recommended Posts

My valentine's day present was my sleeve! I am so excited! What was it like the first couple of days home from the hospital! I find i hard to drink the shakes it takes me longer than 2 hrs for one! I am trying to find more energy and walk around so I don't develop blood clots!

Congrats on being sleeved!! What an awesome Valentines gift to yourself!! The walking will help with getting the gas out and the healing. It gets better everyday!

Congratulations!! You're on your way. The first couple days, you really want to focus on staying hydrated. Make sure to get those 64oz down, otherwise you may get really nauseous. The Protein Shakes will go down better, but just remember your body just had major surgery so don't push it too much. My docs kept telling me to take it easy and apparently my 'easy' wasn't 'easy' enough. lol. You sound really upbeat and enthusiastic which is fantastic!! Keep it up! and keep posting your progress, concerns, frustrations and successes!!

Everyone's right, follow what the doc tells you, and MOST important keep the liquids going. About a week and half after surgery i started feeling bad, tired, dizzy spells..... come to find out, Dehydration!!!! Ever since than it gets better every day. Down 42 lbs since 1-24-2012 surgery. Keep at it

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
