I have to ask. What does the mustard do to releave cramps?

Sent from my LG-H343 using the BariatricPal App

Thanks, haven't tried mustard, but just about everything else. The salty Pickle Juice works right away, and so does the salty lemons. I think what is actually relieving these cramps is just the salt, but it is not allowed. These are not just your everyday Charlie Horse cramps, but Charlie Horse on steroids.

Tomorrow I will be 3 weeks post op. I am experiencing horrible leg cramps. I have decided to make a banana milkshake, only bananas and milk. Also, the liquid vitamins and the chewables cause me to throw up so I started taking gummies. Anyone else experience horrible leg cramps? If so what did you do differently?

PreciousCargo You are not alone. I also have these kinds of leg cramps. I’m new to this forum but I posted about the cramps at the end of this thread. My surgery date is next Monday and I’m more than a little concerned that I may get these horrible cramps during the actual procedure, or at the very least in Recovery. The only thing that relaxes them is lots of salt, lemon juice, Pickle Juice or all the above. Unfortunately none of those things are allowed post op. Fortunately the cramps are usually of a pretty short duration, but during the time I have them they are crippling.

Potassium and magnesium are two big offenders of leg cramps. Increase your take of those. Also do an epsiom salt foot bath once a day. You will absorbe the magnesium through your skin.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
