I am interested in VSG in the US. Does anyone know a good US surgeon with a low self pay price? Any help would be appreciated.Thanks!

I went to Nashville, Tennessee at Centennial Hospital with Dr David Dyer. I can tell you the program is top-rated, but the price....well, they have self-pay options, but I didn't look into it. I was very lucky my insurance covered my care. Good luck!

Hi Katf;

Highly recommend The New Program, several people here have used group. 14K, which is not cheap for self pay but worth every penny. I spent more 18K - but two other people on this site used Dr. Braverman and he is less cost than my surgeon. You can contact "Veda" or "SkinnyNurseBetty" if you want their personal experience.

Surgeons at New Program in Newport Beach (they have an office in LA area too) are highly skilled and have the lowest complication rate in Southern California for Barriatrics besides being a Barriatric Center of Excellence member. The start of the process for me with self pay was just over 30 days including the two week preop diet.

While I spent an enourmous amount of my retirement on VSG surgery, I would do it again tomorrow. My life has changed because I am healthier, happier, move more and have discovered that doors I would never open I will now. VSG is not always easy and since it is non reversable, make sure this is what you want. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to talk. Good luck in your search!

I love my sleeve and have no regrets.

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
