Being Sleeved With Dr. Rodriguez @ Star Medica - February 11Th

Recommended Posts

What a rollercoaster ride this last month has been!!!!

After all my posts searching for others with the Molina band (and finally having it removed successfully), being scheduled with Dr. Kelly for my sleeve on 2/21/12 and having to cancel due to ALM being VERY UNPROFESSIONAL (and Dr. Kelly not having the ability to take my FSA credit card either :( ), I have decided to have my surgery with Dr. Jose Rodruguez in Juarez, MX at Star Medica Hospital. I was able to talk to him and a couple of his patients on the phone and through email that also had a band with tummy scar tissue and feel confident that he is the right doc for me. :)

Guess my $20MM question is...

Is anyone else scheduled for surgery that weekend with Dr. Rodriguez? I will be at Star Medica with my husband from 2/10 - 2/13 with my actual surgery date being 2/11.

Just looking for others that will share my surgiversary. :)

I scheduled with Dr. Rodriguez too for March 30th in Juarez Mexico. His credentials are awesome. I know a guy's friend works at the American Embassy in Juarez and he cannot say enough good things about this hospital. I also love the fact that I will be in a hospital all 4 days. Very excited for you. Great choice.

I have to say though A Lighter Me peeps were very nice to me. I thought of re-booking w/ them but they have a lot on their plate right now w/ Dr. Kelly-Dr. Garcia situation. Didn't want to bother them. But Sandy and Ms. Linda were very nice.

Star Medica IT IS!!! If you use google earth you can see how nice the area is too.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
