I just wanted to thank you all for being here. I was sleeved 12-19-11. Because of your posts, I can gauge where I am in my recovery and I'm doing well. I am in a stall and have been for 24 days. I've read that it can last a month. I did lose 1" in my waist. So I just have to be patient. You guys are the best!

I couldn't agree more it's like the vet's lead the newbie's, then the newbies start to become vets ,and the cycle progresses forward. We all learn and get smarter together. The body's shrink, and the minds get stronger. Truly cool and awesome system!

That is very true, Steve!! I find myself not answering pre-op questions much anymore because so many of the newly sleeved people are answering them, which is great! :)

I'm so glad you posted this Dominique...

I was sleeved on 12/29/11 & have been on a stall for 14 days now. I was getting pretty bummed about it. I know my clothes are getting looser - so I probably need to take my measurements so I can feel a little better about my stall.

It's good to know that it's OK if it lasts for a month.

I was sleeved on Dec 28th and have been on a stall since starting regular food on Jan 11th. I can't help but be disappointed, but from the many months I have been lurking around in here, I see that it is normal. I did everything right so far, so no reason not to see a drop soon. Good luck to all of you..

Happy, did you take measurments of your body before? even if you arent losing pounds you might be losing inches somewhere. I have started a fierce cardio/ weight training thing cause i want to be toned after all the weight comes off and i am dropping inches like mad! Dont stress about the scale, our bodies are still adjusting and are going to move at their own rates. You know the weight is going to come off, how could it noe when we eat so little. Get your Water and Protein in and youll be fine!

Everybody is right on here. I have been in a stall since Xmas and am finding myself with baggier jeans and smaller size tops. I keep reflecting back to when I weighed 163 in the past, and I was still wearing a large to xlarge then. I still have flab I need to get rid of and am working with a personal trainer to strengthen my care. I am going to kick it up abit on monday. I really need to start cardio. I will join a class at the gym too. It's about better health, exercise, and toning up. Thanks every one for all your support. ;) :banane58:

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
