Quick question for all the veterans out there. I had a revision surgery from Lapband to VSG on December 15th. I have lost 12 pounds since my surgery date. I seem to stay the same weight for 3 or 4 days at a time and then drop a couple of pounds. I've been on liquids now for almost three weeks. I can start mushy foods in two days. I would think with the very limited calories I am consuming that the weight would be falling off. Any thoughts?

Hi there!! I am also a revision from band to sleeve! I love it!!

To answer your question, right now is not the time to worry so much about what your scale is saying. At this time, please focus on getting healthy, getting all your fluids in and doing your very very best with your Protein. Walk and get around as much as you can, and also rest when you can too.

Don't sweat the small stuff darlin', weight loss mode will take over your life soon enough. Xoxo :)

I too had the band to sleeve revision on Dec 11. 2011. I was 30 pounds down at 4 weeks and this past week I must have hit the stall wall as when I got on the scale Monday I had lost nothing in the past. I had also been out of town and my eating pattern had changed and I do not think that I was getting in all of my fluids. But today is the start of a new week and I am going back on liquids for 4-5 days to give my body a little boost start. I know how you feel after being on liquids for so long but start out slow when you start the soft, mushy and pureed foods. It will not take much to make you full.....I was around 2-3 oz of baby food when I first started out. I suggest that if you use the baby food that you try the lasagna and chicken and noodles. You will have to add salt and petter to taste as there are none in the baby food. I would not want to make that my lifetime diet but to start it is a stepup from the pure liquids. I still drink the shakes to get my Protein in as you want to make sure you get as close to that as possible.....that and all of your fluids.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
