Back Ache Behind Stomach?

Recommended Posts

Hey there, I am two weeks post op and have been noticing some dull back pain basically right behind my stomach area, most noticeable when I am sitting up straight. Anyone else experienced this, is it related to vsg or just coincidental do you think?

It's not sharp pain, just dull.

Your stomach muscles are probably weak and making your back work harder for the support.

I am having the same problem, so I'm glad to see it wasn't something i did trying to roll over in bed or get up..etc.

good to hear. I do have to add one new thing to the mix. took a nap and had chills as I was waking up from my nap. no fever though. Had this a couple of days after the surgery, too, and it went away, so I'm thinking just body adjustment, but....not sure.

Well, I can't speak for your general condition of course, but I was freezing sometimes in the early days (and sometimes now too). I'd be in warm clothes, under a blanket, with a heating pad. Still today I find, as do most, that I run cooler in general. I sometimes take a hot shower just to warm up and I am wearing an undershirt, shirt, and sweater most days. That would have suffocated me pre-surgery.

I dunno, its weird. I don't feel cold, I just got the chills, if that makes any sense. I have felt more cold in general since surgery, but not really THAT different. Well, it hasn't repeated, and nothing else weird, so I'm going to guess just weird body tricks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
