Is the pain really bad???

I didn't have much pain at all. I was just dizzy and a little nauseous the first two days. I have had. 3 c-sections and they were worse.

I've never had any children and the last surgery I had was an outpatient cyst removal on a hand when I was a kid. So I don't have much to compare this to. Never had any broken bones. Lol like I said I am probably just a big baby

And it seems like just a few days ago I was getting this whole process started it moves quick once you get started. It may not seem like it at the time but it does.

I've seen all the required doctors. I'm just waiting to get all of my testing done. I should have just a few more. Next is the stress test. I dread that one!!! Lol

I'm going to Owasso through the Bailey Medical Center. Dr. Varnell is my surgeon. I'm getting impatient and ready to have the surgery done. So glad you are doing good! Keep up the good work.

Oh Megs81, that really makes me feel so much better. So far, I have loved the Bailey program and all the DRs that I've seen. I have been to all of the Drs and now I'm in the testing phase. I have the stress test 6-17/6-18, I'm frightened for that one. I also have the sleep test left, worried about that too. Have you been successful this far?????

I had surgery on Wednesday with dr Ronnie Keith in Norman and I went home this morning. I've been doing pretty well. Just trying to get fluids down keep walking and keeping pain managed.

I had my surgery with Dr. Ronnie Keith also. Just had my 4 month follow up with Winter. I don't have to go back now till Aug to see the dietitian. I had no problems other than the soreness. Love my sleeve and have had a great experience with OWLO's staff. If you have any questions just ask. Nice to see so many Okies here.

Yes. I thankfully have had no problems since surgery. Stress test wasn't bad. And I already had a sleep test done. It makes a world of difference if you have apnea and use the machine I love mine but I have been off of it for about 3 months and I am sleeping great. Don't stress... Tests are not a deal breaker just want to make sure they know what is going on

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
