I had surgery on 09/02/11 and right away I hit a stall which lasted for 3 or 4 weeks, then dropped 6 lbs, now for almost 2 weeks again I have not dropped anything. Does this happen to anybody else? This is very frustrating!!!!

If you had your surgery on 9/2 you're only about 5.5 weeks out, right? So you have only lost a total of 6 lbs since your surgery? If thats the case something is definitely not right, you should have lost more than that before you even left the hospital. What diet have you been on, are you walking/exercising? Are you getting enough Protein & calories (if not your body will go into starvation mode & it will be nearly impossible to lose weight)?

I was sleeved literally 1 day before you and I drop 17 lbs in 2 weeks then stalled for 3 and a half weeks also. However, I just started losing weight again 4 days ago. I have dropped pretty much a lb a day. This does happen. Some of us experience stalls earlier or more often than others. Just follow your doctor's plan and the scale will move again. Have you been getting enough Protein? Water? Exercise?

You are actually doing REALLY well!! The hardest part of this journey is having the patience to see the lbs leave, but there is also the inches, clothes size, feeling better, more energy. If you are getting in your Protein, Fluid, and exercise, then there's not much left to do but be patient! It will happen, trust the process. I have to tell myself this constantly, cuz I am not a patient person lol.

:)

KellyL, I have been watching your progress and you are an inspiration to me. I also had surgery with Dr. Kelly, so I have been watching for posts by people that also went to him. You have done really well with your weight loss. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I'm not a patient person either

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
