Alexis, you look fantastic! I, too, love the boots--I'm looking forward to wearing mine when it gets cool enough outside (we're in the 80s still--dang it!). Congratulations on your great achievement!!

Just wanted to say thank you all for the kind words and encouragement! This board has been a great resource for me and it is so great to share my experience with people who truly understand my journey.

And to Kala, thank you! That means a lot to me.... I write my blog in the hopes that it can encourage, inspire, or sometimes just make people think. I try to be 100% honest and up front about what this surgery has done for me.

You are doing great and you look fantastic, loved reading your blog! My surgery date is Nov 15 and every time I go shopping (and have done this for years) I just look at all the boots and sigh, knowing that they are not going to fit over my calfs. Well this year I have decided that for Christmas I am going to buy me a pair (at least 1) and then also buy some more at the end of season clearance sales so that next year at the beginning of cooler weather I will FINALLY BE ABLE TO WEAR BOOTS! That is one of many of things that I can't wait for.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
