Age plus BMI equals nearly 100?

Careful, there, Mert, that was 60 grams of protein, not 60 ounces of meat. I had to read back through the thread to be sure of what was said... LOL, that would be a lot of meat in one day. There are 6-7 grams of Protein in an ounce of meat, so you would be looking at 9-10 ounces of meat, but you can get protein from other things, too, like cottage cheese, eggs, milk. A grande latte at Starbucks has 20 grams of protein... ;-) I can just see the size of your eyes, looking at 60 ounces of meat... LOL

MidniteLady

Thanks for the clarification. I've never considered food in terms of ounces and grams. Went to a diet meeting last nite and learned that 60g/day looks like a portion the size of my palm at Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have a lot to learn between now and 8/11.:)

Happy to help, Mert. I was LOL at the idea of you actually trying to eat that much meat. You could never do it with full restriction. It reminded me of the story of the lady at the WW meeting saying she could never drink the 68 glasses of Water they suggested she needed... LOL

Wow, you are so close to B-day, I bet you are excited!!! Good luck...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
