This is my 4th day post op. My son lives upstairs with his wife and two kids. His wife cooked dinner and my husband ate with them. I was not tempted by the food but I was a bit jealous of not being able to taste any of it because of the 2wwek clear liquids. I have unjury chicken soup which is very tasty but just the mere fact of not having made me a bit upset. to top off the night, my grand daughter came down later and bought a cupcake she made to her grand father with a proud stride and promptly delivered it to him. I was happy to see her bright eyes as my husband told her how good it was but I was sad too because it was her first time baking. seems like time is standing still. I normally would shut down at a time like this and go to bed and sleep jus to see a new day but now I HAVE TO SIT THRU THIS BECAUSE i need to get in my clear liquid intake. Can anyone suggest WARM clear liquids that will make the next 13 days seem a touch normal for dinner other than chicken and beef broth?
