Tick tock goes the clock..my surgery is tomorrow!!

Recommended Posts

After months of anticipation, prep work, doctors appointments, and conteplating, I am having my VSG surgery at 10:30am tomorrow. Surprisingly, I am not nervous. I am super excited and can't wait to embark on this new journey on the winners aka losing bench. I am sure I will be a little nervous once I get to the hospital. Either way, there is no turning back and I am ready.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all my sleeve siblings having surgery tomorrow, on 9/12. Best of luck to all of you.

Good luck to all those having surgery soon! It has been 6 weeks (tomorrow) for me and the journey is worth it! The first few days/weeks are tough but it does get better. Concentrate on getting fluids in. Don't worry about Protein for a week or so, just stay hydrated. SF popsicles were and still are my best friend! Try your liquids at different temps if swallowing is difficut in the beginning. Keep us posted!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
