How often do you see your surgeon?

Recommended Posts

Morning all,

I saw my surgeon 1 week after surgery because I was having a lot of pain where my lap band port was removed (I'm a convert). Then he said for me to come back in 3 months!

I can't wait to go back and show him all the weight I've lost and my appointment isn't until the third week of October!

How about you? When does your surgeon want to see you?

I saw the nurse practioner one week out. Then I've been back 3 times for nutritional classes and weigh in. I'm scheduled to see my surgeon in a couple of weeks which I will then be 3 months out.

I saw them every week for the first month. Then 3 months out since until I reach the year mark. Don't know what happens after that. I can't wait to show him that I will be at goal by then!!!

Congrats on your surgery. LIFE WILL GET BETTER EVERY DAY.

I saw my surgeon right after surgery in the hospital. I visited the clinic at one week, one month, three months and 8 months (then one year) and all those times I saw the nurse practitioner.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
