Typical day, typical foods

Recommended Posts

I drink about 1/2 a cup to a cup of coffee a day. I put one tablespoon of sugar and a little bit of dry cream in it. I never finish the whole thing. I haven't had any problems with acid...I take one chewable Pepcid AC Complete at night. Without that, I'm not sure if it would cause issues with acid reflux.

How is everyone doing with coffee? I thought it may be too acidic after surgery but I would love to add some Decaf to my shakes!

I just wanted to tell everyone, "Thank You!" for jumping on here and sharing your menu. I'm in the process of trying to read through them all.....wow, lots of good ideas! I hope this is helping everyone as much as it is helping me.

I am a little over 4 months out:

AM: Protein shake

Mid Morning: Almonds or Atkins something or other

Lunch: Grilled chicken w/salad; tuna with w/salad; bare burrito; bare burger; if too busy at work an Atkins Protein Bar

Mid Afternoon: sometimes nothing sometimes Atkins Peanut Butter cups :)

Dinner: what ever Protein hubby makes for dinner w/ some veg

Evening: Almonds; wheat thins or nothing

I try to keep everything sauteed, grilled or baked.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
