What has been your "Wow" moment since you started your weight loss journey?

Don't you mean the TD BANKNORTH GARDEN?????Just kidding, I knew what you meant !

Did you see Madonna???

Ok, my WOW moment..........wearing a two piece this summer and wearing it proud !!!!

LOL!!! I keep forgetting they changed the name again.... Yes I did see Madonna, and her show was amazing!!! She definitely knows how to get a crowd going.

Great for you to get into a piece. I've only been banded for 2 months, but I was at the Celtic Woman concert last night @ the Pavilion, and bought myself a goal shirt, one that I hope to fit in for my b-day in November.

My big WOW was - I went and bought an outfit that actually fit me on Friday night. (one good outfit that I can wear to church or outings -while I am on this weight loss journey). My mom came over on Saturday and I tried it on for her because I wanted to make sure it fit me - wasn't used to something actually fitting me. My 11 - year old daughter walked in the room and actually cried - and said I looked wonderful. She gave me the biggest hug and brought my mom to tears, too. She said she could tell her mother had a better shape under her clothes. Not this oversized baggy stuff that I normally wear.

Three years ago when I lost about 80lbs I remember one wow moment that I'll never forget. Actually it was a wow day. Before I went on my diet I weighed 250lbs and wore a size 20. Several months after dieting and after losing 80lbs I tried a pair of pants of my mom's a size 10!!! and I put it on, pulled it up over my hips and zipped it up. No, I couldn't breathe or walk, but they were ON! So to Celebrate I went to Lane Bryant in search of my new favorite pair of jeans and got a size 14, the smallest they carried in the store. It fit perfect. Perfect! I opened the fitting room door and told the salesgirl that this is a 14 and soon I wont be shopping there anymore, she smiled and said 'you go girl!'

Unfortunately I didn't lose much more because of a personal tragedy in my life, but I'm back on track now. Pretty soon I'll be in a 14 again, and looking for my new favorite pair of jeans in a size 12!~

I had a wow moment this weekend. I am in nursing school and when we are on clinical at the hospital we have a uniform that we have to wear. Last year, I bought a new set of uniforms for my second year. I had to buy an XL because the L was getting real tight and uncomfortable for me. I didn't have to wear my uniform for at least 3 or 4 months and I wore the XL to clinical yesterday and my friend said that I looked like I was swimming in it, LOL. I wore the L today and it wasn't tight in the arms or anything. I didn't try the pants, but those will be next, LOL. I should graduate in december, by then I had better be swimming in the large, LOL.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
