Ok, so I was getting dressed to run to the store with hubby, and pulled out a T-shirt. I looked at it and though, hmmm its a little small. It was one of my sons old t-shirts, a mens small, from way back when, not sure why I kept it, but there it was. Keep in mind that I have always worn a mens XL t-shirt, to hide the tummy etc. I said screw it and put it on. :) Yup, thats right folks it fit! Big smile about that one LOL

Our stats are almost identical :). How tall are you? My original goal was 140lbs but my doc said with my frame that weight would be too low for me. We'll see how it goes once I get to the 155 mark and how I look and feel.

I'm only 5'4" so my ideal weight would be 130, I just don't know if I can realistically do that at my age (48). You must be taller. We'll see what size I'm wearing at 140. If I'm comfortable and look "normal" I may stop there. Anything else would be icing on the cake.

I am 5'5 and 44. I have a "big" frame so to speak, size 10 shoes, broad shoulders, big hands LOL. Sometimes I think I should be like 5'9 :)

Your doc may be right about 140 being a bit too small. I am small-boned. Even at my heaviest I had to have links taken out of my watches and bracelets to fit my wrist. I wear a size 6 or 6 1/2 shoe. My feet have always been narrow so the only good thing that came out of all my weight gain was that my foot got wider and I could pretty much wear any style I wanted. Now I'm back to narrow sizes so I am limited to shoes that buckle around the ankle, lace up or just run narrow. But if that's the only bad thing to come out of this surgery, I'm OK with that.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
