Weight Gained Since Having Gastric Sleeve Surgery

  • Popular Post

HI Y'all,

I wanted to do some research with REAL people instead of reading about it in some report.

I'm wondering how much weight (IF ANY) you have gained since being sleeved. I go up between 1-3 lbs. so my answer would be 1-5 lbs.

I'm curious to see how this goes.

Thanks!

It's very difficult to keep it off.

Now that I've had back surgery, I am not supposed to diet. I am trying to get my bone to graft. I can't exercise either. I am freaked out, officially.

Oregon daisy, how was the back surgery? You survived it! Not a time to be down about weight and diet. Should be celebrating this milestone. And, you know what? You were abke to do it before. You got a head start now

We know nuthin is ever going to be handed to us and it sure isnt gonna get easy just cuz....but one thing we hold onto: we did it before...we know it is within us to do it...just focus on your rehab and tackle amy other probs after. You are a formidable fighter...dont forget that.

Ps: nobody told me not to diet after my hernua surgery but i didnt heal until i added some complex carbs. ...u got the right advice.

Surgery in 2013. 270 start weight. 188 lowest hit. Now 214. 26 lb gain in last year. ????Gotta start 5 day sleeve test asap

The standard advice is to start varying up the diet more and to slash calories, but that's kind of hard since we have slashed virtually every calorie we can already by dint of the procedure. But as our tolerance for exercise increases, we can start varying that up more too so that the body can't learn to become efficient with any particular form of exercise. It's a great way to restart weight loss, surgery or otherwise, in my experience.

Well I'm 2.5weeks out and my weight loss has come to a complete stop, I'm even wondering if they really did the sleeve? How is it possible to have majority of your stomach removed, being on liquids and liquids is zero powerade, a low cal ice coffee no cream or ice cream and still not loose weight! Good thing I'm seeing the nutritionist tomorrow, not very happy at all:(((

I'm 10 months out. No gains besides little fluctuations. Still losing.

I had my surgery 4/23/14 and am up 12lbs from December 2014. Struggling with slipping into bad habits. I lost a total of 60lbs and need to lose about forty more

3-5 pounds... I gain and lose up to 5 lbs a week on bad weeks.

The last couple days I haven't lost bit stayed up 2 lbs but I'm also breaking out so I'm really hoping it's TOM. Reading here that is normal makes me feel better.

I'm a 50 year old male and was sleeved 3 years ago this December. I had lost down to 140 and gained 20 pounds. At 160 now and would like to lose about 10 to be at about 150. But it's a real struggle now, definitely not as easy anymore.

Jorge, congratulations on your weight loss and keeping most of it off for 3 years! That 20 pound bounce is harder and harder to get off for me too... I keep trying though... really don't want to gain more!

I know how hard it is and my worst nightmare is to gain anymore weight.

I've taken up power walking and running to help with further weight loss. I really love it except for the pain I get on my knees and hip. For that I started doing Yoga and it seems to be helping.

I try to stay motivated by thinking about how I was before my sleeve. It works.
