Unexpected Surgery

More than 2 years ago, I had an auto accident. Some fool ran into the back of us while we were sitting at a stop light then our car was pushed into someone else. We had double impact. I went through therapy and everything but had not settled yet. Just when we were working out a setllement, my neck started hurting close to "natural child birth pain". My neck specialist sent me for an MRI. I should have known when he wouldn't give the results over the phone something was wrong. Turned out, I had two big bone spurs pressing my spinal cord causing nerve damage. After a complete meltdown  , I decided to have the surgery since was almost at my 5th month visit. My neck specialist said he would let them tilt my head back in 6 weeks. This made me have to squeeze all my appointments in 3 weeks. It was a rush but I did it!

I made it through disc surgery on my neck! No pain just a sore throat and gas in my chest? After this, I wll be having my wls before I return to work...........maybe mid September. The lesson learned........Calm down and deal with it!:cool2:

Sorry you had your auto accident that pushed back WLS a bit. Hoping the best as you heal and prepare for your sleeve surgery. :rolleyes:Ronda

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
