Searching for unfilled bandsters...

What are you doing? How are you doing? Plans to get re-filled.

I was unfilled a week ago and am enjoying it but wonder if I can be "good" and still lose weight. So far, so good, but it has only been one week. I actually am enjoying eating healthy bulk food again.

HI, I have been unfilled since March. I have managed to lose a few pounds. It helps that for some reason I have some restriction. I think I could have lost more but I didn't really exercise.I was unfilled following a too tight fill and some gallbladder problems. The gallbladder was removed. I am getting a fill this week after getting my, newly developed reflux problem, under control. Good luck and remember the things that you learned while filled.

I was unfilled for nearly 4 months and regained 30 pounds! My first fill 6 weeks ago allowed me to maintain, but I just got my 2nd fill today which I hope will get me back to losing. I don't mean to scare you - just to alert you that once you can eat large quantities it is very easy to slip back into old habits (or it was for me). I found that slowly I reintroduced breads, pastas, and then eventually junk food. All of those carbs made me crave more carbs -- so just be wary that all of your efforts can backslide if you let it get out of control like I did. I really regret how I let myself go on a band vacation and took advantage of the situation. If you hold true to your healthy habits you should be fine! Good luck!

Kristin

I've been unfilled since March, too. For a couple of months I didn't even notice a difference, but now I'm aware of hunger kicking in between meals and an ability to eat more. I'm hoping to get a tiny fill in August if my insurance works out, but even in the meantime I'm aware that I have to work on eating more slowly. That's my biggest demon.

But I hear you about enjoying the greater bulk! I've been loving the summer fruits I can eat with abandon. Nothing beats a ripe, juicy peach!! :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
