hey ya'll got a question and it contains some tmi....sorry! days 1-4 it was most uncomfortable to drink, last night i had my 1st bm since being sleeved, it was such a relief!

today i have been drinking on some crystal light lemonade, I guess the taste is better than Water to me cause I notice I am taking in more and i have not been sipping.

anyone know if this is ok or are you supposed to sip always?

Well, no you won't have to sip always, but for now I think you should continue with small sips. :)

I saw my doc 3 days after surgery and was strongly reminded to just sip. 1 ounce every 15 minutes and 4 oz per hour. At most 1 extra ounce per hour. Not to try to fit it in faster or go over on that amount. Overall daily goal is a minimum of 48 oz if you're up for 12 hours. 64 ounces takes 16 hours. I will admit it's hard to sip but /i found a couple of very small glasses that hold only 2 ounces. I fill that up and stretch it over 1/2 hour. I don't keep the Water bottle at hand, but have to walk to the kitchen to get a refill.

I'll admit it's hard to keep the pace slow and I especially miss taking large swigs as I take my walk. But I surely don't want to put to much stress on the stitches these first couple of weeks nor stretch out the pouch. I just keep in mind that this is one step along the way and soon I will be able to have a bit more (but no more chugging beer, lol).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
