5 bites of chicken and rice comfortable...10 minutes later incredibly uncomfortable threatening to barf.

I eat sushi...can have like 2-3 pieces of a roll...eaten SLOW. (which is nearly impossible for me, only 2 pieces at my normal speed) I can have a few bites of bread...or pancake or pizza, potatoes or dare I admit french fries...lol. I ate a McDonalds burger with mac sauce on it and just the bottom of a roll...IT WAS SINFUL and AMAZING...lol. First time I have done that in months. I didn't even cave for that months before surgery...lol. Good luck...I say, eat what you want a bite at a time...wait every 3 or so and make sure your tummy catches up with your head! MANY times I'm ticked off cause my tummy says DONE well before my brain has even enjoyed my food!

I'm sorry Apple! I hate when that happens!

I'm 7 months out and I've had that same problem from time to time. I will eat something, it will feel fine for about 10 minutes then wham! Uncomfortable! Usually it happens if I eat chicken and green Beans... and I've found it's the green Beans that pushed me too far.

Yeah, the negative bio-feedback is immediate and unkind. Sorry--

I never ever eat rice or Pasta for that very reason. Hope you feel better...

So sorry to hear! Yeah, that stinks.... at least you know now. This sleeve really is a process of learning what works and what emphatically does not work, and sleeves are usually pretty good about alerting us--sometimes in a very unpleasant way, but for me, that helps me not forget. Gross, but it works. Hope you're doing better now. Meg

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
