Cottage Cheese pouch test

Recommended Posts

I came across this article and thought it was interesting. I'm barely more than 2 weeks out from surgery, so need to do a test like this- but thought I would share for others who want to know what the size of their stomach is who might be further out from surgery.

Yep, I did it at about 18 months out, and the results were 4.9oz max capacity in 4 minutes 34 seconds before I felt like I was going to upchuck that One last bite.

I've also done it with the Yoplait Thick N Creamy yogurt and could only get in 5oz in 5 minutes without feeling like I wanted to vomit.

I burped up some of the cottage cheese because of how fast I ate(at least that's what I figured it was from).

I could never do that because I hate cottage cheese. There are a lot of people on OH who have done it and reported back.

I had an Upper GI when I went to Mexicali in May and Dr. Campos told me my sleeve holds 4 oz. That seems about right, although when I order a 6 oz steak, I can only eat half.

Very interestin! I'll go with his results and averages rather than wrecking a Breakfast with the test! Thanks for posting!

I would love to try this. I will have to try with the Thick and Creamy yogurt like Tiff said, though, because I can't stand cottage cheeseblink.gif

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
