Attention from the opposite sex after surgery

Recommended Posts

I want to know what kind of attention sleevers get in response to their new bodies.

What is it like, does it make you happy, mad, etc??

I am wondering what to expect (getting sleeved in exactly a month)

I am recently out of a 4 year relationship, and being single is odd to me- I am excited for a whole new life.

I feel like I am somewhat cute even at 240lbs, with a nice shape but 95% of men do not look twice at me.

I know things will be different and want to know what to expect.

Any and all input is appreciated. From men and women!

Thanks!

I think it's different for everyone. I really don't think it's the weightloss that makes men notice me more. It's the change in attitude and me thinking I'm worth the attention. I used to wear my fat like a shield. I hid behind it as much as possible. I think I'm starting to come to terms that I deserve to be happy. In tern, I wear better clothes and hold my head high. Just that is changing how people look at me I think.

I did notice at urgent care today I seemed to get more respect than I had in the past. Over the 4th I was at picnic and at 20 something year old kid asked my daughter who the hot chick was. ( I almost died ) , I do not tune into attention so much so I have probably missed a lot of changes.

I agree with Fern it's the change in attitude and the way your carry yourself that's gets you more attention after losing weight.

I'm loving it :D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
