I had to stay an extra night at the hospital with a fever, high bp, problems of pain and nausea with the iv, and I thought I would roll over and die DAID from having the surgery. Once things got better, which took about 12 hours, I was literally a new person. I was so mad at myself that day for having had the surgery to begin with. I wouldn't trade it for the moon and all stars right now. I'm almost 12 weeks out and have a new life. Think about the fact that many have had complications and one day this will be but a very bad memory! I hope you feel a bit better already----iv fluids can really help. You are wonderful to keep us posted. Prayers going your way!

@YB things are pretty rough but I know I'll pull through. I've been hit with a big stick of bad luck!! I really appreciate everyone's concern & care for me! Keep sending prayers up for me!! :-))

I hope you are much better today. Saying prayers.

Well I've been having a rough time, I'm dehydrated & one of my stitches is infected, running fever & possible pulmonary embolism...WTF have I gotten myself into??!! I'm very weak & wondering if I'm the only one that's dealing with this?? OMG!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
