1st trip to the beach since surgery....

Recommended Posts

I am usually looking forward to a trip away from the house especially when it is a trip to the beach (minus getting into a suit....lol)

I am clueless as what to bring to the beach to eat & snack on.........I know plenty of fluids but anyone have any suggestions for beach friendly foods?

I was put on stage 3 today - soft mood so I am out of the pureed phase but the food seems almost similiar.......

Any ideas would be great!

As always thanks for posting!

Dawn :)

I'm posting on here because I want to see what some of the options are. I never would even step foot on a beach and now I'm venturing out of my comfort zone. I didnt even think what I would eat.

I would take a small cooler and have an assortment of Protein rich foods in those 4 oz. glad containers (love them!)

cottage cheese

ricotta cheese w/toriani Syrup (faux cannoli filling ala eggface)

yogurt

greek yogurt w/toriani syrup flavoring

thin sliced deli meats

babybel soft cheeses

hard boiled eggs

tuna or chicken salad

and of course plenty of fluids!!! i'd say double what you might normally drink in that timeframe, you don't want to get dehydrated sitting on the beach :)

have fun!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
