I am almost 8 weeks post op and my Dr told me not to worry about calories to just make sure I drank my 64 oz of Water a day and make sure I get between 60 and 80 grams of Protein a day. Well I have been able to do that but started tracking what I eat on a app on my phone and for the last 2 weeks I average between 700 and 800 calories a day and was wondering if that was either too many or not enough? I know some of you have to count your calories so I was just wondering what your Dr's suggested when it came to this. I am still losing weight although I have had 2 stalls but down almost 35 pounds since surgery.

Do you mean 60-80 grams of Protein? Or do you actually mean Fiber?

My surgeon said 600-800 calories a day during the losing stage. I am also assuming that you are supposed to have 60-80 gms of Protein and not fiber. With that much fiber, there'd be no room for protein!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
