I'm sorry you are still in some pain - but it makes me feel so much better hearing that you are having pain as well!!!!

I hope we both recover quickly!!!!

I took my pain meds for the first 8 days. Last couple of days, I didn't take as much, but I still needed them.

I slept propped with pillows to make my bed like a hospital bed for the first couple of weeks. After that, I could sleep on my side. After week 3, I could sleep on my stomach again.

For the first couple of weeks, I wore a nightie with no undies unless i was going outside. My tummy felt sore and I didn't want anything around it. I wore stretchy pants. til week 4, then I was back in my jeans (the ones I had squirreled away from a previous weight loss!!!).

For the first three weeks I had a sore feeling in the lower left quadrant of my tummy, like someone slugged me. Then one day I woke up and it was gone!!

maybe two weeks. It went away pretty quickly once the drain was removed. But at its worst it felt like sore abs from too many crunches. it wasn't a sharp pain, just soreness. I only took pain medication for a couple days because the drug itself knocked me out so I could sleep.

your milage may vary. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
