Yay, I can eat soft, mushy foods tomorrow! Food ideas?!

Recommended Posts

I've been on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. Tomorrow I can start my soft/protein foods. What did some of you eat during this stage? I've got cottage cheese, refried Beans and potted meats so far. Anyone have any good ideas? I've seen Egg Face's Ricotta Bake recipe and I think I will try it one night.

Thanks guys! Hope you are all having a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! :)

Okay my fav meal was to get a rotissery chicken and pull some meat off, put some hotsauce with butter on it and dip it in blue cheese. Tasted just like chicken wings. Also you can dip it in bbq for a pulled pork kinda taste. Baked potatoes were fabulous. Watermelon yummy!

Scrambled egg and baked Beans with low fat cheese grated on the top is my most favourite meal. I'm 17 days post op and I am finding it really easy to eat plus it has lots of good protine! Yummy. 

I did a scrambled egg (kept breaking it up in the pan), mushy tuna, mashed potatoes, hummus, cream of chicken Soup, puddings with a little fat free cool whip. I just finished this phase and am now on soft solids which is a little better still!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
