Aw, you did not look like a stick. Whatever weight you end up at and feel good at is what you should stick with. I am just amazed so many people on here have this option. I can't wait to be there.

I agree with most everyone else. It should be where you are most comfortable at. I didn't get a set goal weight. I just set one for myself. I don't remember being thin in highschool so I just used the BMI scale. For someone 5'7 to be in the normal range I have to be 157lbs or lighter so thats where I set my goal. I just want to be in the normal range, however if I get to a pair of 6 or 8 size jeans before than I could be happy with that too. I would prefer to be 140lbs., but we will just see how that goes. Good luck with your decision on the goal. I think everyone is entitled to change their goal to fit them the best. It's meant to be what works best for you!

Hi!

I was never given a goal weight, but I just said "I remember being pretty happy with my figure when I was approx 147lb" so I am shooting for that.

But having seen my surgeon and looked at some charts I think I should be aiming lower. I am only 5ft 3, so it looks like I should be aiming for about 126... which seems awfully low to me. I'm worried I would end up with no chest and looking scrawny around my ribs and neck...

But my legs are still pretty heavy so I if only I could choose where to lose the weight from!

I am 5'8" and was 140 in HS, too (and felt fat). I've set my goal close to that now, but I'm happy where ever my body feels comfy. Best wishes!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
