Surgery this morning, I'm on my way to Mexico

I know there are many having their surgeries today. I will be thinking of all of you. Two sleeve sisters from this site will be there at same time as me. I hope to be able to update that we are all great sometime late tonight. I can't believe this is finally happening!!

I am sitting in hospital waiting for my turn. had my xray and ekg and blood drawn am in my gown. Have my iv, but duh. They told me to get into gown and give urine sample, but I remembered gown and just went to bathroom normal. Since I havent had anything to eat, drink, I am hoping I pee again soon. Someone is in surgery now, dont know if they are out yet.

I feel calm, btw. My biggest concern at moment is that its that time of month and I dont know how that will affect any surgical stuff. I cant remember if I have to have catheter I have visions of soaking the surgical table, kotex stat nurse!. I dont have my stockings yet.

I hope you are recovering well! I went to Dr. Kelly on 3/1/11. You are in good hands! My sleeve is working wonderfully for me. I was the first surgery he did on my day and I have to admit I was so grateful for that! I would have drove myself crazy waiting for my turn! I can't wait to hear how you are doing! These first few days can be rough but you will feel much better soon!

Take care!

Doing well, first night lots of pain and nausea which was helped by frequent additions to my iv of pain, nausea meds. Only threw up once and it was barely anything. Feel much better today, like I did too many sit ups. Some gas pain but not too bad. Do feel hungry, have been eating ice chips like crazy. Bp was a bit high but is now good. Nurses all very nice. Been sleeping on and off. I have walked the halls but its a pain due to having to get out of bed while keeping watch for drain bag and iv lines and dragging iv. Walking itself not difficult.

Great to hear you are ok! I'm going in today, and I'm excited! I know you are going to continue to do great!

Good luck, hope all you ladies are doing well!
