You should go by your doctors guidelines, for me I was allowed a egg and was able to eat a few bites. Many people have trouble with eggs at first.

I am two weeks out- can I start eggs?

Thats the problem- my doctors guide is vague- and since they mostly do lap-bands- its the eating guide for them- and eggs is no where on any of the lists all the way thru-

I started eggs on my 3rd week. Soft poached. I can only eat 1/2 and I feel restriction!

Hi CMSUmom;

I have the diet sleeve guide for a couple of doctors around the nation, including Cornell & Hopkins University. Send me a private message (click on my user name first) and provide your email and I will forward docs to you.

eggs were sort of hard on me, scrambled at first and I still struggle at almost 8 months out. But I can do deviled and egg salad just fine. Hmmm. But good news is, the sleeve works! Best wishes.

At my two week post op on Thursday, my doc said no, it is a soft food and to wait til week 5. His regimine was pre-op 2 weeks full liquids, post op 2 days clears, almost 2 weeks fulls until I saw him, now on mushies until I see him again on May 26th. I expect then that I will progress to softs.

I was able to start eating liquid eggs as early as 10 days out granted i could take full liquids with no problem. Day 18 now and I love making mini omelettes. :D (posted my personal omelette recipe in the recipe forum)

Grats on the new sleeve!

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
