Mississippi Sleevers

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to have my surgery in a few weeks. I'd like to talk to someone from MS that has had this done.

Thanks

I haven't had my surgery yet (still saving up), but I'm from MS (Jackson area). Hope your surgery went well!

Hi. I hope your surgery went well and you are doing fine. I am in Biloxi and am also looking for someone here on the coast. I am actually looking for a support group or a meeting for us sleevers to get together and share our stories. Do you know of any?

Not sure about any support groups in Miss (I have not heard of any) I am in Pass Christian. I had my surgery in Slidell with Dr. Warden. I think the hospital he is affiliated with La surg specialists has a group (or at least a nutrition group).

I'm from the Northeast MS area. I have not been sleeved yet, but hope to be in the next couple of months at NMMC. Anybody had experience with Dr Pinson?

Shae,

I know you left this message in 2011 so I don't know if you're still on this thread, but I'm from Hattiesburg. I'm having my surgery Friday (October 26, 2012) in Pascagoula. I was wondering who your doctor was and how you're doing these days. I know there's a support grout at South MS Surgery Center in Ocean Springs.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
