One Year out today

Recommended Posts

I can't believe it's been a year already, what a great year too!! I wanted to lose 80 lbs as my original goal and have lost 75. The sleeve has been amazing and for once in my life I feel good about myself. I try to walk everyday and know it is the key( for me anyway) to maintaining. I have revised my goal to 75lbs because I am happy here, knowing I look healthy. My highest weight as 255 and now is 180. My jeans went from 18 to 12's and tops went from 2x to lg.

It's so funny I live in a rural area with 3 red lights. I was the first sleever and now there are 4 of us. We outnumber the redlights in town.lol

I am battling a kidney stone but I had stones before WLS so I'll just be glad to see it gone. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Congratulations!

I would give that last ten pounds another year. The last ten are always very *slow* to come off.

Congratulations on your surgiversary and your wonderful success!

I was giggling about the red lights vs. number of sleevers in town. I live in a major metropolitan area and my surgeon just started doing sleeves within the last year or so, and so for 2010, he did 19 sleeves (myself being one of them) and I actually know 4 of those 19. Small world, huh!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
