Finally driving!

Recommended Posts

I am usually the one who drives everyone everywhere...i haven't driven since sleeve date 4/11 as my surgeon says no driving for a week.

I have my follow up and I am driving there today. Something so simple excites me.. I am totally independent and hate being a burden to everyone. And i miss driving my truck laugh.gif

Oh Sam209 that no driving would have killed me. Luckily, I was ok'd to drive as soon as I was off the prescription pain meds and that was 2 days post surgery. Not driving feels like your freedom is gone! Glad you are back behind the wheel!

I drove today too! Surgery was 4/12! Driving was ok, but I drove to my doc appt in the professional building at the hospital where I had surgery. LONG WALK!!! Had to park on the flippin roof! That was way more than I had bargined on! 1 1/2 hour nap when I go home, I was whooped! LOL...it was nice to ride alone...music all mine, no noise..oh and out of the house! Yippie! Congrats to you too!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
