5 wks out and I'm in the 30s!

Recommended Posts

I calculated my BMI with my new current weight today and I am in the thirties! It was 38 and I was almost at 45 on surgery day. That's a six point drop in six weeks which just ROCKS!

Thanks for reading- I was so excited that I had to share. :D

That is fantastic! It's great to see such wonderful positive progress on here, since often times there is so much posted about struggle and difficulties. It's all very relevant, but the positive stuff is inspirational :) Congrats!

Thanks all!

@Purple Tulip: Other than feeling crummy the first few days and a mental rough day on day 5, I have felt fabulous. I think it's hard for me to say that a lot on the boards since I want to be sensitive to those that are struggling, but you raise a good point- that it appears it's difficult for all, if those of us who aren't struggling don't speak up. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
