Stomach Churning/Twisting with every swallow

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I'm a newbie. I was sleeved on 4/6. Surgery went well, was released from hospital on 4/7. Drinking not so good. Why is it that everytime I take one little sip of my 1oz cup of Water that the water seems to sink to the bottom of my LIL' STOMACH and my LIL' STOMACH starts to churn and twist and tighten? Today I am suppose to start protien shakes, but with the reaction of LIL' STOMACH to water I'm scared! Will this ever STOP? When?

Thank you, desperately seeking a solution...

When you are sleeved some people stomach's spasm when they drink water.. Call your doctor and ask if he will call you some Hyoscyamine in. It helps with stomach spasms.. You will feel better just take them for a couple of days. Just be patient it will go away with time. The hyoscyamine really helps though. good luck double

I was sleeved on 4/4 and had the same problem with Water for the first few days. I was able to tolerate Water with crystal light and clear Protein water drinks however. I heard water with lemon can also be more easily tolerated.

Speaking of water. I am here at work and 30 min ago I just took 3 big gulps of water from my water bottle. I forgot I was sleeved last week. Fortunately my stomach didn't go too crazy!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
