I don't know if my incision areas were asleep and numb for the past 21days after my surgery? As of today they are kinda hurting :( Before they were numb to touch, n now they are just ouching away. All my steri strips fell off and everything seems fine. One of them has a huge bump around that area, but it was the biggest incision so it maybe because of brusing? If it was a hernia, it would be painful right? It doesn't hurt when I touch it, only if I press on it. Should I worry, or is this normal?

The only incision that hurts me is the one where the drain was. It's a bid wider and larger than the other four. I'm a little nervous about this as well. I am also worried about a hernia, but I have a feeling that a hernia would hurt tremendously. But I'm not sure. Hopefully someone has some feedback on this.

Maybe call or email your surgeon's office. I definitely felt discomfort when I pressed or rubbed my drain scar for a while, but I never felt actual pain and there was never any swelling once it closed up. That scar is puffier and a bit more raised and darker than the other scars, even eight months out. I massage the scars daily to help break down the scar tissue and smooth them out. No pain. So, I'd say better safe than sorry and get it checked out by the doc.

It could possibly be a ceroma. I had the same situation in my incision, after I had my hysterectomy. Definitely call your surgeon as soon as possible.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
