I had my sleeve done on Jan. 13, 2011. I have been nauseated from day 1 after surgery. I am on Nexium, Tecta, Stemetil & Motilium, and still nauseated, but my surgeon now thinks my gallbladder needs to come out to fix the nausea.

WOW, it is interesting to see others have the same problem! Sorry... I had my sleeve January 12, 2011... and I have extreme nausea. I describe it as no rhyme or reason, it can occurr before I eat or 3 hours after I eat. There is no connection to the foods that I have ate to when I get nausea attack. I use the word "attack" because it is jus that... I can feel it come on and I run to the bathroom, stomach hurts, I feel like I need to vomit but never have... I am rocking, the room isnt moving it is me rocking motion like I am on a boat. The attacks last anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes...sometimes I even get stomach pains... I notice I burp alot during the attacks... then they pass and I am as good as new.. Very frustrating. I have had this since I was on clear liquid stage an the doc said it would get better. The attacks do not happen as frequently however, 2 months post op and I do still have 1-2 a week. The doc prescribed a medicine to help my body move the food through my stomach... told me to give it a try see if works. I notice no change so I quit taking it.

Hopefully in time it will leave me!

I was very nauseous the first week and my dr gave me meds to take. He prescribed 2 types and it was up to me to choose which one worked for me. One was a tablet that dissolved on my tongue and the other was a suppository (spelling?) but the oral worked for me. Agree with the others keep drinking your fluids and forget about the rest for now. Hope your feeling better soon!

Thanks everyone for your help ....i think the nausea is getting better

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
