Wow. I will try bananas. I havent tried that yet. Yeah, I think switching up may help. I think the body doesn't respond to the same routine. Thx for the tip. How much have you lost so far?

Hi everyone. I had surgery on 4/8. So far doing good. No major pain or nausea or vomiting. Yesterday I got in about 45gm Protein. I also had a small hernia repair. I still have a slight heavy feeling in my throat. It may be gas still. Hopefully all will continue to be well.

I am 5 days pot op. I feel good but just can't get my liquids in. I finally went potty though. Today will be better.

I'm five days post-op as well. I have been getting in 53-64 ounces of Fluid in including Protein Drinks. I get in 30-54 grams of Protein in. I still haven't had a bm. I'm still taking pain meds at least once a day. I like your positive outlook. Good luck!

Hello ladies! Congrats to all the newest sleevers! Im 2 weeks out, and had my gall bladder removed at the same time. Did anyone else have these two procedures together?

I had to have my gallbladder removed a month after surgery. Had some issues and found out after tests it was not functioning. My VSG was Aug 17th and gallbladder removal September 21st.

Oh, wow! Sorry they didn't do it all at once :(. Which one would you say was worst? I'm convinced that I had more pain because of my gall bladder. Plus....the surgeon said it was one of the worst she's seen! Yikes!

Definitely the gallbladder was more uncomfortable/painful. I thought I did good with the VSG...felt good except for the gallbladder problem. Now all is well and no regrets. It's a journey;-)

If you're still tasking pain meds that can make you constipated.

Hi I am 3 weeks post op and not losing weight as fast as I was in the beginning. I wanted to ask what I can do to make sure I'm doing everything right. I walk just about everyday. Im not sure if my diet is where it should be. I drink my shakes and I'm introducing more pureed food into my diet. Does anyone have any suggestions and a daily menu they follow?

Do you know how many calories and grams of Protein you're getting? Do you work out? Do you get your fluids in? Do you eat carbs? We can be more helpful with this info

I take in about 70 grams of Protein in. I am getting about 48 ounces of Water. I do walk. Due to a previous knee injury I cannot do heavy exercise. As far as carbs I've been eating Beans, mandarin oranges, and yogurt. Yesterday I was craving Peanut Butter and had 2 peanut butter crackers . I checked the label and it was not a lot of calories, sugar nor carbs.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
