5 weeks out, first vomitting experience

Recommended Posts

I have had zero nausea since my surgery and tonight I did not have nausea but tried a new food per nut. She keeps pushing fish, so I tried talapia. I baked it with Parmesan and lemon juice on it. It tasted great going down and then about the 5th bite I had that stuck feeling, I have had the stuck feeling a couple times but a burp or three and walking usually helped. Tonight no, the the pressure built and built and then I knew it had to come up. It was not the painful gut wrenching experience I imagined, it ALL just sort of slipped right up and out and ohhh what a relief!

I still feel a little uncomfortable hours later, but the big pressure is gone.

Any ideas on what happened? I have already decided tomorrow will be a jello/yogurt day.

Do you think it was just one bite to many? Or maybe you sleeve doesnt like the fish right now. I have been scared to death to vomit even though I know that it wont be as bad as in the past...just not enough in there. But so far (3 weeks out) no vomitting. Hope you feel better soon.

Have you ever had Talipia before? I know my husband has different fish allergies, he can eat some but not others. Also have you had a lot of cheese before? I found the first few times I had cheese it didn't sit well but luckily I didn't get sick. I know sometimes when I get the stuck feeling it is because I am eating too fast and sometimes too big of bites. Normally talipia is great but give it a few days and then maybe try again but stop after a few bites. Hopefully it will be better the next time. Gosh, and I just bought Talipia at the store tonight.

Too big of bites and not waiting between bites is usually what causes this. Eat very slowly.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
