What was your follow up like?! How often did he have you coming into the office?! Did you have any complications? Do you currently attend the support group seminars?! Trish is the dietician that I saw for that meeting. So far I'm very pleased with the clinic. Do you use the gym there?! Sorry for the questions, super excited to have found someone from the same office!

In Columbus, GA.! That is so great! Dr Turton also has an office in Columbus, GA. You have to go to La Grange, GA. for surgery though. This is great!! Best of luck to you! Clawrence!!

How has your experience with them been? I just got finished with my first appointment there earlier this week. I have to do the 3 month supervised diet for my insurance, so I have some time. I felt like the team was great except the front desk ladies.'

Edited to add: Athens, Georgia here, but going to Emory Midtown for surgery.

It has been fantastic. I was sleeved on 10/24 and had a remarkable recovery, no complications and have already lost 10 pounds since being pumped full of IV fluids before I left the hospital. Dr.Singh, Meagan and all of the surgeons are amazing. You're in good hands!

Smh! Well check this out. If they tell you they are out again or they are on the phone, ask for the manager and I guarantee magically they will appear... I cant tell you how many times I had to do that. It just burns me up!

Listen, I have no doubt they are overworked but dont label them advocates if they wont advocate and get your arse off of tv if you dont have the manpower needed to sustain the business. At the end of the day they billed my insurance $50k just for the surgery! (And heck, I was in the surgery center for only 6 hours!)And although I know insurance reduces the amount they payout to the organization, I know they are making money hand over fist! Smh again!

Great. Just what I want to hear about my office! How was the surgery, recovery, etc. for you? I can't believe they billed that much to the ins. company. I'm self pay and it is "just" $11725 total not including pre op testing. I really haven't had any trouble getting my "advocate" and no problems with the office staff so far. How did you do being outpatient?

Yeah, I really liked Dr. Singh at my appointment last week. I get to meet Megan this month. I'm doing my supervised diet through my PCP, but I'm still looking forward to what I'm going to learn with them too. The front desk staff was a little off, but I'm thinking it may have just been a busy day for them, they seemed all over the place, while everyone in the back was friendly and seemed to know what they were doing.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
